I don't understand why this plant is being cancelled 8 years and $100 million down the road. I understand that the construction is unpopular with the local community, but this is often true with construction and, once finished, the plant will benefit both them and other Ontarians. Cancelling it will simply put the province into more deficit and set us back on switching to cleaner technology.

This plant concerns more than just the local community in Prince Edward County, and the PC government should have been transparent about cancelling it during their election campaign. Seeing it cancelled afterward makes me think this was a bribe for the Prince Edward voters, which does not make me feel represented by our government.
