Doug Ford is wasting our taxpayer money. He is endangering the lives of cyclists. If you look at the actual evidence, bike lanes increase cyclists on the road thereby reducing cars on the road, and reducing gridlock. I've ridden a bike to work in Toronto for decades, with and without bike lanes and I will continue to do so. It is just safer with bike lanes. I bike for my physical health, because it's better on my mental health than driving and because it's better for the environment at a time of climate crisis. If there were more bike lanes across the entire city, there would be even more cyclists and fewer cars. That's what we actually need.
