I do not support Bill 212 - Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act, 2024, particularly its framework for bike lanes that require the removal of traffic lanes. While improving cycling infrastructure is important, this approach may worsen congestion for drivers and public transit users, leading to unintended consequences. A more balanced strategy is needed to support all road users without sacrificing essential traffic flow.
