I am totally against this…

I am totally against this proposal to squash the need for the Environment Assessment to be canceled for several reasons.
There are major concerns about many different aspects of this closed dormant landfill if it were to reopen and expand..
It would sit in a very very bad piece of land. There is an aquifer under this land.
It is less than one klm to town. And the high school.
It is right on Mollys Creek that flow immediately into the Sydenham River and to Walpole island (Lake St Clair)
This operation will be 24/7 and will disturb the residents of Dresden not only noise from the landfill operation but truck traffic and the dust from crushing concrete and materials containing asbestos will be floating in the air and we will breath this 24/7!!!!
This will cause severe devastating effects to animals,fish, birds and people is so many ways. It will be detrimental to our health and community. Endangered species are at risk!
A full comprehensive assessment still needs to be done before any landfill is opened.
This landfill area is a horrible idea and will have disastrous permanent effects of this community and surrounding areas.
I understand that we need landfills but in this case it is the wrong area. A new location should be found!!
