The environmental layers and hoops you have to navigate to build or change anything in some areas is out of control. We have a cottage in Long Point, Ontario and we have to deal with multiple organizations and get multiple permits just to build or change something on our property. We need permits from the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ocean and fisheries, Long Point Conservation Authority and others. They have to justify their existence and it is a complete waste of tax payers money. These organizations could be cut and streamlined. We are not allowed to do things because of the Fowler Toad. The Fowler Toad is nowhere near extinction, according to the Smithsonian Institute there are plenty in North America. Now we are not even allowed to walk some parts of the beach because of a bird species they found. There is no common sense anymore and I completely support Doug Ford and anything he passes re: endangered species and getting back to common sense and building and developing certain areas of Ontario!
