Dresden Landfill
I am not in support of this! You are affecting the whole community of Dresden. Our small community cannot afford to have all these transports coming through our town, disrupting businesses. We are a farming community with agricultural crops and farm machinery travelling on these roads. Our roads cannot handle up to 700 trucks coming and going, along with farm machinery travelling these same roads, school buses and local traffic. The proposed site is just way too close to town. It will affect our town in that no one wants to live a landfill. We are already seeing home sales slow down. Who wants to build a new home and live near the landfill - NO ONE. Those of us that already live very close to this proposed landfill, will have no chance of selling our home. Our home value is already decreasing with the news of this.
I would like to see the Premier and other members come and visit our town and see the exact location of this proposed landfill. Please come and look. I do not think anyone would want this in their back yard. If you would not want this in your back yard, why do you think it is okay to put it in mine. We deserve the same rights as the Toronto community - Premier, you do not have a landfill in your backyard, so why are you willing to go back on your word and put it in ours.
