I wish to call attention to…

I wish to call attention to the removal of a required environmental assessment of the Dresden Ontario dump site. Premier Ford is fast forwarding a process that will endanger the health, safety and economic growth of our very precious agricultural community.
This dump is two minutes away from my home. Trucks will be driving on Highway 21 "24/7." They will travel right through the downtown area past two schools and will be sharing space with farm vehicles during our planting and harvesting seasons.
Our health will be endangered by air, water, soil and noise pollution. Industrial and residential growth will be crippled as nobody will want to invest in this area. The value of existing homes will be greatly reduced.
Dresden has voted Conservative both federally and provincially for many years. After the Mike Harris disaster circa 1997, I vowed I would never again vote for this party. Silly me, I decided to give Doug Ford a chance. I have been betrayed.
I hope Mr. Ford will do the right thing and bury his plans for a Dresden Dump immediately and permanently, along with the Toronto garbage that needs to stay in Toronto.
