Please RETHINK the proposed regulation to remove the wpd project.
The reasons to keep the wpd wind mills -
Harm caused to the environment by ripping out the almost completed project
Harm caused to the Blandings Turtle by ripping out the almost completed project
Costs associated with ripping out the almost completed project
Ripping the almost completed project doesn’t solve the problem of high hydro costs.
Ontario looks better for investing in green energy.
Clean energy is good energy. The planet isn’t getting any younger.
The land is scrub and rock. There is not much else one can do with it.
Demolishing a project when it’s nearly complete is the opposite of “cutting inefficiencies” (as the PC’s like to tell us.
Globally, Ontario will look like double dealers if we revoke the renewable energy approval at this stage - ya know, promises made, promises kept.
Providing incentives for builders and users of green energy is a good idea but it must remain economically sound for Ontario and its taxpayers. If we have a product others want to buy then let’s build on that. To take an over $100 million project and throw it away because someone screwed up the math 10 years ago makes no sense. Stop the blame game and use your heads.
