Ontario is famous for not caring about the wildlife and their habitat. So many species have declined hugely due to lack of protection. And now this, it's only going to make it so much worse. All Ontario wants to do is build, build and build at the cost of harming wildlife and their habitats. We fought so hard to stop housing development in Wainfleet where the threatened species, the Blandings Turtle resided in the area that the township allowed for a 22 house subdivision to go in. Year after year the developer would submit application for that parcel of land and it was always rejected due to it being lower wetlands and the year we barely got any rain, the township gave approval to kill the home of the Blandings Turtle for multimillionaire homes.
