I don't understand how we fought last year to get an environmental assessment and won, now the government can go back on their promise and decide not to uphold their word. This is why people have such a distrust in our government! The fact that Ford told us what we wanted to hear during the election and then once he got in, he did the complete opposite. This is slimy politics and should never be allowed. Dresden could not be more clear in the fact that we DO NOT want this dump so close to our town. We understand the need to keep things in Ontario but there are much better locations that are not so close to a thriving town. It sickened me that we are not even granted the bare minimum of an environmental assessment that we were promised. We the people of Dresden deserve better.
