Hello,
Bill 5 makes me nervous. It would give cabinet power to allow the government to exempt itself from following laws on certain projects.

This is too much power with little public oversight on important issues, such endangered species protection, from which there will be no going back.

First Nations’ Leaders representing the Ring of Fire have to be consulted and need to be part of this. We know Indigenous peoples’ history in this country. Do not repeat history by pillaging their land.

I don’t think this Bill should go through. It’s not going to be a good precedent.
