Dresden residents have shown you significant opposition and have repeatedly listed environmental concerns for this disproportionate landfill 800 meters from our town and citizens.

The site is adjacent to Molly's Creek, which feeds into the
Sydenham River—a habitat for several species at risk, including the Eastern spiny softshell turtle and the Salamander mussel.
The leachate and runoff from the landfill will contaminate and risk our health with the proven facts this is harming Mollys creek and our Sydenham River that flows to our neighbouring native lands and St. Clair River

This whole landsite has been chosen under false claims and dishonesty towards the people of Dresden

Our town is in great danger of explosions with methane gas, 700 trucks that will come in and out 24/7 on our farming roads with tractor and wagons hauling produce and grains. Contamination to our valuable farmland and destruction and loss of revenue to our downtown businesses with air and noise pollution alone.

Would you buy a house in Dresden with 6000 tonnes of garbage coming in daily ? Would you drink out water and eat our fish and hunting game? I would think not.

Our school children are at risk because of this and you are jeopardizing their safety. The school boards are all against this landfill in Dresden and we also have the support of surrounding areas north, south, east and west of our town. Everyone is against this landfill.

How much money is worth an entire town’s safety. How much greed will it take to destroy our land and waterways How much corruption will take place until all this stops

A small town hundreds of miles away from the problem makers. A small town being bullied and bought out by the conservative government and York 1 /Whitestone Fields with the same corruption and ties.

How many lives will it take because you won’t listen to our voices and respect our historic town .

Toronto’s garbage doesn’t belong 80 meters from our town and everyone who lives here knows it is trying to be pushed in without a full environmental assessment. An assessment that evidently won’t pass.
