There is a reason why there is an endangered species act in place. Ecosystem balance is so important because when a protected species becomes extinct it causes a chain reaction and it doesn’t just eliminate the one species. Species become protected because they are key players in providing balance to the entire ecosystem. If key food source species becomes extinct the entire food chain is disrupted meaning species that consume that food will also decline in numbers. The importance of having protected species and undergoing environmental assessments before development is CRUCIAL! Not just to the animals but also to humans and the environment as a whole. This bill is just pure laziness. There is a need for AFFORDABLE housing not just more of it! Work on fixing the economy before you go screwing up our entire planet. Stop being lazy and find an actual solution, not just a shortcut that will screw everything up. Environmental assessments may delay construction but it’s crucial for them to develop solutions to construction issues in regards to protected species to better our world in the future.
