I am opposed to this act. It allows the government to, without scientific basis, remove a species from the endangered species list. This is obviously intended to allow circumventing the act whenever the government likes. Weakening the definitition of habitat will also allow development that endangers fragile ecosystems. Importantly, I worry that First Nations treaty rights will be severely compromised. Thank you for your consideration.
