I oppose Bill 5. This bill puts our environment, endangered species, and democratic rights at risk. We need stronger environmental protections — not fewer. I am deeply concerned about the shortcuts being handed to industry, especially through the creation of special economic zones where laws can be overridden. Our ecosystems, wildlife, and communities cannot afford to be sacrificed for short-term economic interests. Bill 5 is a step backward for Ontario, and I urge our leaders to reject it.
