The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are deplorable. These changes clearly favour developers and profits over the environment. I do not want to see the nests of endangered birds and turtles bulldozed. As a citizen of Canada (and Ontario), I enjoy all that our beautiful wildlife has to offer us. It would be heinous and honestly quite criminal to threaten the survival of endangered species solely for the sake of speeding up land development. There is a reason this Act is in place, and it's to allow due process and assessment. It is in place to give our wildlife a fighting chance amidst urbanization. Corporate greed should NOT prevail.
