This new dump being put in without an environmental assessment is very troubling. The damage it could cause to the ecosystem, rivers, lake, and water table that many surrounding communities and farms use daily could be catastrophic. The negative environmental impact because of a dump at this site could last generations. Bypassing an environmental assessment at the risk of Canadians and their well-being is deeply concerning. I hope that the Ontario government may see the error and short-sightedness of this approach and do their due diligence to ensure the safety of local Canadians and future generations.
