I am Commenting to express my extreme opposition to removing the environmental assessment on the York1 dump in Dresden. This is extremely irresponsible to the citizens and the land we call our home. I challenge you to go for a boat ride on the Sydenham river to see the live that busts at the seams in there... better yet if you are brave, go for a ride at night on the river. It's almost like you are on the amazon river! Please do not allow some company to mess this waterway up by dumping dozens of truck loads per day and to contaminate one of the few untouched river systems left in sw ontario. I for one live only a few miles from there, I drink my water from the ground (on a well) and recycled and take care of my own garbage. I don't think it's fair that all this trash canne trucked in here without at least hndergoing a fair assessment to confirm that it will not endanger our wells or our species at risk in our local environment.
