Changing the Endangered Species Act would put animals native to our province at risk. Which in turn would make our natural industries less profitable. Our forestry industry relies on our native ecosystem, which in turn relies on our native species. Besides the economic concerns, changing either act would only make it easier to kill animals that are distinctly and inherently Ontario natives. It would strip us of our identity. Is some small economic benefit worth that? I'd like the chance to raise my children in the same natural landscape I grew up in.
