I opposed this removal of Environmental assessment Requirements because of the false premise that it is being done in response to US tariffs.

Lack of adequate actions by the province to prepare for handling our own waste products locally, including Reduce, Reuse and finally if necessary, Recycle at various levels of personal government and business activity is not due to tariffs, but lack of oversight and infrastructure management for which the province is ultimately responsible.

This "quick fix" will outlive the false tariff premise (the administration responsible for the tariff is temporary) and result in a long term Ontario responsibility for unintended consequences due to lack of detailed environmental assessment.

This quick fix seems to be motivated more by short term business interests than long term sustainability for Ontario's future.
