We are at a critical time in…

We are at a critical time in terms of being good environmental stewards of the earth. This is not the time to eliminate programs that discourage and unfairly targets people living in multi-unit dwellings from responsibly managing their waste and recycling.

This initiative is short sighted, poorly thought through and in addition to it's impacts not being fairly distributed being single family homes and multi-unit dwellings, it unfairly targets segments of the population who can least afford additional costs to continue on with their current waste and recycling programs.

I voted for Doug Ford, but this is a stupid idea and the team working on this file need to seriously think more long term and better understand how this impacts lower income families, people living in higher density units (including seniors) as well as the costs and environmental impact of everything going into the dump vs. diverted to recycling and green bin processing facilities.
