Upon review of the Proposed Amendments, I find that all points appear reasonable and well-considered. However, I would like to respectfully raise a concern regarding the five-year re-registry period. This timeframe seems excessively long and lacks flexibility, particularly given the current climate of economic and regulatory uncertainty.

Facilities engaged in exporting goods outside of Canada may be subject to Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms. Continued participation in the Emissions Performance Standards (EPS) Program could provide a measure of protection against such charges.

In light of these considerations, I kindly request that the re-registry waiting period be reconsidered and reduced to one year.
