As a resident in the area and experience with automobile accident statistics, I have deep concerns about the impact on road safety. Northwest Caledon /Charleston road and Highway 10 corridor is already an area of fast, heavy traffic where multiple serious vehicular accidents have occurred near or in the small village areas. Truck traffic and lack of sufficient training for the expanding trucking industry is leading to an increasing threat to road safety. The addition of hundreds of homes in nearby Erin, as well as the new PGA location in Alton, will only increase the likelihood of these accidents. This must be taken into consideration.
