I am writing to state my opposition to this backward and inhumane proposal to kill the cormorants. this is incredibly short sighted and has not basis in science. I cannot believe the province of Ontario is contemplating obliterating a species! Not only to mention the damage to the cormorants themselves, but I also believe this wanton permission to shoot will hurt other birds as well -- was that a loon or a cormorant?? -- and make things very unpleasant for people using these areas recreationally i.e boating. Could the Ford government please return to common sense?
