The stated objectives of the bill are laudable, but I cannot understand how allowing municipalities to override the protections of the following acts contributes directly or indirectly to the goal i.e. the Greenbelt Act, Clean Water Act, Lake Simcoe Act, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act and Great Lakes Protection Act. Remember this Government is for the people and overriding these acts could cause harm to a great number of those people.
