There should be no development on the Greenbelt. There are currently no municipal services or infrastructure on the Greenbelt such as sewers, roads, internet, or garbage pick-up. Should development be permitted on the Greenbelt, it would cost the municipalities an exorbitant amount of time, money and effort to put these services in place, when it makes no sense to put these services in the countryside. Not only would there be no services for the businesses, the employees would find it extremely difficult to get to work, and there may be an absence or a shortage of workers available to work at the businesses. It would also cause considerable damage to the Greenbelt and to the drinking water sources.
