On behalf of Sanofi Pasteur, I am writing to bring to your attention that our property, located at 1755 Steeles Avenue West, was not included in the corresponding Provincially Significant Employment Zone (PSEZ) as part of Ontario’s Provincial Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi, is a global company that provides more than one billion doses of vaccine each year, making it possible to immunize more than 500 million people across the globe. A world leader in the vaccine industry, Sanofi Pasteur offers the broadest range of vaccines protecting against 20 infectious diseases.

We currently employ more than 1,500 people at our Toronto campus and continue to be the largest investor among all life sciences organizations in Canada.

We understand that the City of Toronto is rectifying this issue by submitting additional employment lands that should be covered, which will include Sanofi Pasteur.

Please note that Sanofi Pasteur concurs with the City of Toronto that we should be included in the Provincially Significant Employment Zone and we hope this issue can be addressed accordingly.
