the cottage owners have been going to rondeau park for generations, with many happy memories

I think that extending the leases will not adversely impact the government's desire to keep Rondeau in its' natural environmental state. Quite honestly, I think that the cottagers are more cognizant and committed to maintaining the natural state of the park, more than day users.

I value the history of Rondeau Park and would be terribly disappointed if the government were to consider any other alternatives, other than a permanent lease extension.
