The new regulation combines…

The new regulation combines Class 2, 3 and 4 but enforces training and certification on farmers that was not required previously in the existing regulation. In the existing regulations, or Class 4 pesticides (Fly Bait etc.), farmers who were not certified just needed to present their Farm Business Registration Number or signed self-declaration form to the vendor. The new and existing regulation do not align and require training and certification for all Classes (2, 3 and 4) which training and certification need to be removed under the new regulation for Class 4 pesticides or the following needs to be added as it appeared in the existing regulation i.e. “Farmers who are not certified must present their Farm Business Registration Number or signed self-declaration form to the vendor”.
