As an international finance and business advisor I am working with a Canadian company trying to scale up a sustainable forest management business in South America. Without the whole hearted support of the host government the project would have no chance of progress. Contrasting this forward thinking vision with the near sightedness and short term greed on display the Amazon I encourage the government of Ontario to make business easier to conduct and more predictable. All of this makes it more financially sustainable for the woodlot operators, thereby attracting the capital required to keep our province at the forefront of carbon sequestration and eco diverse jurisdictions. Not to mention the continued health of renewable resource production.
