I support the proposal to expand the live capture of wild raptors by licensed falconers. This will serve as a benefit in reducing the dependency of using captive-bred raptors and aid vulnerable first-year raptors being using for falconry by providing them with food, shelter and reduced risk of predation. The release rate will be much higher as falconers will be able to trap birds every year - with the current lottery system, this was not always the case, as falconers were not guaranteed to have their names drawn.
