I have reviewed both the traffic and acoustic studies as best I could, and find them severely lacking in overall relevance, since they do not address effects outside of the limited boundaries of Coronation, Manse, Lawrence and Beechgrove. As a resident whose home backs onto Lawrence Avenue east of Beechgrove, what is more relevant to me is the traffic that will occur on Lawrence directly behind my property. Heavy trucks both incoming and outgoing will have to travel along Lawrence Avenue either eastbound or westbound to get to or from the plant to get to the highway (401). At 100 trucks per day that amounts to one truck every 15 minutes which I find totally unacceptable.

I do not have a problem with the principle of having methane gas produced at the proposed plant. But the movement of objectionable material both in and out on residential roads is out of the question. The fact that the plant is located in close proximity to a CN/CP corridor to presents an opportunity to have the material in question shipped in and out by rail, thereby bypassing the residential traffic problem entirely. Has this been considered, and if not, why not?
