Expansion of the Greenbelt…

Expansion of the Greenbelt to include the Paris Galt moraine is long overdue. Given that many in the area are fully dependent on groundwater the area should be expanded even further to protect a greater area.

Protecting the valleys of rivers around the GTA is all well and good and should have been done years ago but seems a rather hollow gesture given that Ministry Orders have recently been used to allow development of a wetland in the area under examination. The protection of rivers and their headwaters should be a province wide policy. Millions of people depend on the quality of the water and failing to protect it amounts to criminal negligence.
