As a Canadian and Ontario…

As a Canadian and Ontario resident, I fully support the expansion and protection of the Ontario Greenbelt, especially as part of a larger and hopefully even more aggressive mandate by the Ontario government to protect our environment.

As a voter, the protection of the environment has become a chief electoral issue; I worry about climate change, about over-development and urban-sprawl at the hands of nefarious developers and about plastic pollution. The expansion of the Ontario Greenbelt reflects my increasingly environmentally focused values: I want Canada, at both the federal and provincial levels, to show aggressive environmental leadership.
