Grey County is rich in natural infrastructure that is in need of protection. The Niagara Escarpment, already included in the Greenbelt, runs through part of it. Extending protection over the whole of Grey County would ensure that this area, rich in farmland and natural areas, is protected so that Ontarians have sufficient local food supplies, clean water, clean air and healthy soils to support them now and into the future.
