The PC Gov't is saying they want to protect the Greenbelt/ Farmland by adding more areas- which is great! On the other hand they are trying to take away already designated conservation/ greenbelt and farm land from the Pickering area and all that land that would be damaged and lost by Hiway 703, which is a total waste of money, as well as an incentive for more sprawl and only could positively affect builders and developers while destroying hundreds of acres of prime farmland needed to supply Ontario, and the world, with food. Not to mention the environmental damage done to the land by runoff, pollution and air quality, wild life (animal and vegetable) loss of habitat!
