In reviewing the proposal I am struck by the need for all efforts to be undertaken to safeguard existing Greenbelt lands and watersheds, and to expand the Greenbelt where possible. Furthermore, I consider it essential to reinstate consultation with the Conservation Authorities for all development proposals which would impact the existing Greenbelt lands, regardless of whether the approvals are via MZOs or not.
