As an Emeritus Professor of Respiratory Medicine I have to chime in regarding this issue! The idea of burning wood to produce electricity is flawed from many aspects. Importantly the airborne particulate matter that is produced by wood burning is harmful to human health and is responsible for many excess deaths worldwide.
