Cap and trade was working well. It has been shown by many studies to be the most cost-effective way to reduce emissions (thereby putting the lowest burden on consumers). Furthermore, it was paying for hundreds of clean energy initiatives in the province. It was stimulating investment in clean energy industry in the province, reducing our carbon footprint, and is the most cost-effective way to do so. Cancelling this program is reckless and shortsighted.
