The Town of Caledon was an active participant in the Peel 2051 Municipal Comprehensive Review process, which concluded with the adoption of the Peel 2051 Official Plan on April 28, 2022 and the submission of the Peel 2051 Official Plan for provincial approval.

While the growth management and community planning objectives of the Town of Caledon align in many respects with the growth strategy contained in the Peel 2051 Official Plan, there remain key points of differences. Our main concerns relate to differences between Caledon’s Growth Concept and the Settlement Area Boundary Expansion (SABE) and Employment Area mapping incorporated into the Peel 2051 Official Plan.
