Everything from small watercourses and wetland would be at stake under bill 23, not only the green belt.
I think this is a horrible idea especially when there are other alternatives to increase housing density haven’t even been explored. I’d suggest we focus on revamping our zoning within the city and maybe reduce the ratio of single family homes.
How does potentially building on wetlands even helps anyone? Increased risk of flooding comes with a lot more costly and impactful repercussions for the province.
We have a commitment to preserve our environment but also urban sprawl without proper transit and other infrastructure is juts a poorly thought out plan.
