Hello Ontario Conservative Party and Premier Doug Ford:

Nobody wants you to sell the greenbelt. Not only is the paving over that land short-sighted in terms of protecting the environment, and thus, our domestic food supply; but building there also contributes towards urban sprawl. Sprawl is not cheap. It may be a cheap way to put houses up in the middle of nowhere, but there are no jobs on the greenbelt either.

Ontario needs to build up, not out. Hasn’t Doug Ford already set land aside for development, without needing to touch this critical and irreplaceable ecosystem?
