I am extremely disappointed…

I am extremely disappointed in the Ford government going back on their promise from 2018 to leave the Greenbelt alone.
One of the biggest hurdles my generation will face in our lifetime is climate change. We must do everything in our power to protect mother nature so that humanity can continue to survive on this planet for generations to come.
It is extremely shortsighted to destroy important farm land and other habitats within the Greenbelt to build housing. There are other solutions like densification to combat the housing crisis. Curtailing foreign buyers and making housing actually affordable for young families is more important than provide more houses that no one in my generation will be able to afford.

The majority of the province does not believe this government has their best interest at heart, and leaving this protected land alone could go a long way in helping rebuild that confidence.

Destroying this land for housing is just furthering the selfishness and greed we humans exhibit so often. Let's take a step back and think about the common good and leave nature alone.
