As a lifelong resident of the GTA I can't believe the decisions this government is making regarding the Greenbelt areas. It seems that money and rewarding rich supporters is the underlying motive.
There should be some oversight on these decisions and possibly an inquiry into the purchases of these properties by the Home Builders.
The housing shortage problem will not be solved by building more homes. There needs to be some Legislature into people and corporations owning many single family homes. Condo building are the worst, unoccupied properties.
There should be a limit or a huge tax to detter this practice.
Also all the new immigrants settle in the GTA, GVA or the other larger areas. Overcrowding those areas.
