I am completely opposed to this Bill.

This bill will not address the housing crisis. It is well documented how important the greenbelt is the vitality and well-being of this province and those that live within it.

This bill will:

extend urban sprawl
increase pollution
facilitate the destruction of wetlands, which are necessary for recharging our drinking water and ensuring a healthy ecosystem
worsen climate change,
endanger biodiversity
increase the risk to people and property for flooding

In short, this bill will negatively impact Ontario for generations to come.

The constituents of Ontario do not want this. That was clearly demonstrated the last time Premier Ford tried to develop the Greenbelt. He retreated and stated that the greenbelt will be protected. Once again, the Conservative Party under Doug Ford's leadership has shown that it cannot be trusted.

Revoke this Bill.
