Regarding the Ontario greenbelt issue: How does eliminating farmland help anyone? How will future generation feed themselves?
Back in the 70’s the removal of sensitive fruit lands in Niagara for developments was off set by farming practises which relied on chemicals such as fertilizers, and insecticides . In this day of climate change one would wonder what the future holds for farming and the environment. Once the farmland is gone it will be lost forever!
