I strongly oppose this…

I strongly oppose this proposal. Not only are we developing land that was intended to be environmentally protected but we are continuing to add to the density in the GTA. We should focus efforts on dispersing our population outside of the GTA by incentivizing employers to locate outside of the GTA and thus providing employment to families in these areas. This would reduce the pressure to reside in the GTA, reducing the need to build even more houses and (hopefully) promote housing affordability for Ontario families. If we continue to congregate around the GTA we will always have an issue - we need to provide people with an alternative to locate in other areas through employment rather than sacrificing our natural resources. Once we destroy these areas they are gone forever.
