This proposal is absolutely going to have an immediate negative impact of the environment and health of the humans and animals in Ontario as they will no longer have this important ecological space to enjoy open activities within nature.
Adding buildings, pavement and exhaust while at the same taking away trees, grass and water that clean the air will be extremely detrimental to all living beings.
I would like to make a loud point that nowhere within this proposal is there a single line regarding AFFORDABLE HOUSING, merely how many new homes that developers, meaning people who plan to benefit from this proposal, will be able to build. Numbers of homes means nothing if people cannot pay to live there. I am a home owner who no longer has a mortgage so my complaints are not personal, I'm thinking of the future dystopian urban sprawl that will result if The Greenbelt isn't properly protected. Please do not allow The Greenbelt to be broken up, it was laid out the way it is for a reason.
