I thoroughly agree that the housing issue needs to be addressed but not at the expense of our environment, farmlands and marshlands. Adding to the area of the green belt is a great idea but do not take anything away from it for development purposes. Please consider areas for development and housing in already established urban areas - many existing buildings could be renovated to accommodate housing (abandoned buildings) or large parking lots, golf courses, build up, reuse industrial buildings, build multiplexes , convert single dwellings to apartments- I am sure there are many more alternatives to be considered before destroying our natural lands, watersheds, or farming areas.
