I am appalled and disgusted with your government's decision to build on the greenbelt.
These lands as you are aware but painfully ignore are vital to growing food and where there are wetlands, protecting and cleaning ground water.
Experts today recognize the tremendous benefits of the greenbelt yet your government, willfully, without regard for future generations, pave over parts of this land.
It has come to light that developers have bought land in the greenbelt within the last few years with one purchase happening as recently as September despite Premier Ford and Minister of Municipal affairs and Housing, Steve Clark promising not to touch on these protected lands; protected since 2005!
Our province, indeed, our one and only planet, needs the vision and dedication of strong leaders to do what's right to ensure a healthy place to live. Unfortunately, from my perspective, the cutting down of the Brazil's rain forest, the overfishing, destruction of habitat and polluting of our oceans or the continual cutting down of old growth forests in BC, etc., etc., paints a picture of “leaders” who have no vision, and are corrupted by power and greed.
There is a better smarter way outlined in the attached document.
I would like you to consider which legacy you want to leave behind in Ontario....a Leader with a healthy vision for the future or a "leader” void of such attributes.
